Welcome to the fascinating world of Victor Chenko products, direct merchant of the
articles of traditional Russian fine arts and craft. Over the time of the iron curtain
Russia didn't have an opportunity to acquaint the world with its cultural heritage. But
things have changed in 1985 when Perestroika started. We have gathered highly-skilled
artists who devoted their whole lives to studying and practicing techniques that have been
developing for centuries. Folk handicraft demands accuracy, patience and pains from the
artist but result of this work delights and fascinates people. The phenomenon of Russian
culture is something completely different from what the Western World had ever
experienced.
Victor Chenko was founded in 1993 when the Soviet regime was finished. Our mission is to
put the works of Russian craftsmen on the market and assist to the developing folk fine
arts in Russia. At the moment we have more than 60 painters together with other 22
people engaged in production. Since lots of Russian artists live and work in the small
towns and villages we visit different parts of the country looking for talents.
Victor Chenko presents you a great multitude of articles such as hand-made painted lacquer
boxes, Khokhloma wooden cookie jars, Matryoshka dolls, hand carved chess sets, Gzhel
porcelain, Orenburg and Pavlovo-Posad Shawls and many other products. We are actively
engaged in the producing process doing our best to preserve Russian treasures. That is why

Our offices and studios are located in Moscow, the capital of Russia that is considered to
be one of the largest and one of the most beautiful European cities.
